The King of Glory Foundation Scholarship is available to graduating seniors at an accredited high school who have maintained a 3.0 GPA.
The scholarships will range from $1,000 to $3,000 and may be awarded to one or more individuals. The total amount available for the scholarships will be determined by the Foundation prior to award.
Applicants must be a member of King of Glory Lutheran Church and/or be active in King of Glory ministries.
The application process involves submitting the application form below, a follow-up interview and providing a letter of recommendation from the King of Glory pastor or youth director.
Applicants will be evaluated based on a rubric setting forth criteria concerning their involvement at King of Glory, outside activities, responsibilities at a job and/or at home, and additional information – see specific criteria here
Awardees must maintain a 3.0 GPA while in college (comparable criteria will be considered for a student in a vocational school) and must be considered a full-time student of the institution.
Awardees must plan to remain involved in a church or other faith community while attending college and report to the Grant Committee at the end of each semester regarding their status and progress, providing a photo that may be used in records or publicity by the Foundation.
Funds for the awardee(s) will be paid directly to them with half of the scholarship amount to be paid for the fall semester and half to be paid for the spring semester. If the awardee does not pursue a second semester, the second payment will not be made.
